S.E.N.D.

At Seething and Mundham Primary School we welcome everybody into our community. The Staff, Governors, pupils and parents work together to make Seething and Mundham Primary School a happy, welcoming place where all children and adults can achieve their full potential and develop as confident individuals.

We understand that all children are different and have individual needs and we consider this is in all we do. We make equality a reality through the attention we pay to the different groups of children within our school family, providing a learning environment that enables all pupils to make the greatest possible progress and achieve their full potential in a caring, supportive and fully inclusive environment.

Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision allows pupils with additional needs the opportunity to follow a curriculum specifically tailored to these needs, accessing learning, developing life skills and giving self-confidence to maximize their potential. We aim to address children’s needs and support their development in the most appropriate way possible and celebrate effort as much as achievement.

Further details about our SEND provision are included in our SEND Information Report.

We recognise that at all stages of our SEND support it is important for the child to understand and have their views considered. To help our children understand we have produced a child friendly guide to SEND.
